FAQ

What makes a good breeder?

Many keys exist for good breeders. Most important is placing a strong emphasis on the health of each cat and kitten. Maintaining and promoting feline health involves keeping the cattery under-crowded, regular vet care, resolving health issues immediately and daily grooming. In addition to following these keys, KlassyKats also makes sure all of the cats get plenty of exercise and easy access to scratching posts and cat trees. I make sure I am present when the cats give birth, no matter the time of day or night. I carefully select where each kitten and cat is placed.

It is also important to make sure breeders are registered with well-respected organizations. KlassyKats is registered with the Cat Fanciers’ Association as Cove of Love and with the American Cat Fanciers’ Association as Klassykats.

What kind of environment are your Persian cats raised in?

I operate a small cageless cattery with only four females and one male. My Persian cats run the house and are part of the family with kittens raised under foot so they receive constant care and attention. This care and attention makes the cats people friendly and allows me to spot and resolve any health issues quickly. I raise my cats in an extremely clean environment with fresh clean water daily and litter boxes cleaned many times a day.

What is the importance of pedigrees?

A pedigree provides the list of ancestors for a specific cat (or any other animal). This list provides accepted proof of the purity of a breed, individual or strain. My Persian cats are pedigreed to prove their distinguished lineage. In fact, my cats come from some of the best known Persian cat catteries including Bolo, Pajean, Mockingbird, Topcattery, Angelkissed and Magicus to name a few.

Why should I purchase a cat from KlassyKats?

I offer the personal touch of spending time with my kittens in my home. You will receive excellent customer service and a health guarantee. All kittens are free of health issues and free of fleas, ear mites and fungus. My Persian kitten health issues receive treatment via holistic medicine.

My cats are used to being around people and will quickly adapt to being around you. I make my own cat food with fresh turkey and use a variety of high quality dry food.

What types of Persian cats do you offer?

I have a variety of Persian cats available depending on the litter. As with any cattery, I cannot predict the kittens before birth but will make known what is available as soon as possible through this site. In the past, I have had both Blue-eyed Whites and Copper-eyed Whites. I have also had a variety of colors including blue and white, tabby and white, red and white, black and white and calico. I also have had some wonderful Persian Vans.

How much do your cats cost?

Pet prices start at $350 with breeding rights costing more. Blue-eyed white Persian pet prices at $1000 with breeding rights costing more.  A significant amount of time, effort and money goes into making sure you receive the best pet cat possible. I accept cash, money orders and PayPal payments with a 3% transaction fee.

How do I receive my kitten?

The easiest way is for you to make a trip to Wichita, Kansas to avoid any shipping costs. It may also be possible for me to meet you within a reasonable driving distance from Wichita. If I am driving to meet you, the cost can be as low as $50 depending on distance. To ship the cat, the cost is approximately $200.
